Fundraiser by Katherine Fox - Losing our locks for children with medically associated hair loss...

 From Alumni member Katherine Fox:
I've decided to lose my locks and donate my hair to Variety charity that provides wigs for children with medical related hair loss.  11yr old Amity from Longreach has joined me and we’ll both be losing our locks before Christmas – just a bit of cross-State scheduling to be undertaken.

We are grateful for any donations toward this worthy cause - all funds will go toward making a wig from the [just shy of] 1.5m of hair we donate between the two of us.  Please go to the link above and select the ‘give now’ button to make a donation.  If for some reason it does not go straight to our donations page, use the search function (top right) to search for ‘losing our locks’.

Thank you for considering.

Katherine and Amity

PS: or visit our FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/LosingOurLocks/?ref=hl where we’ll eventually have some ‘after’ pics!

Member Activities

Fellow Alumni Members

It seems a long time since our successful Alumni function in November last year.  What an enjoyable evening it was!  At that event and at previous Board meetings we discussed organising some activities to bring past and present colleagues together more often.

To kick this off we are arranging a couple of visits to the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House.

New Exhibitions and lunch

There are a number of current exhibitions including:

·         Behind the Lines – The year’s best political cartoons from 2014
·         Menzies – by John Howard.

The Museum also offers a 45 minute tour of the Building.  Some of you could run this tour!  Full details are available on the website www.maodoph.gov.au.

We would follow this with lunch either at the OPH Café or other local café.

Date:  Saturday 30 May
Time: 10 am
RSVP: by 16 May
